The Definition of Love
A love begotten by Despair upon Impossibility, kept apart by jealous Fate like the two poles of the world — parallel lines, infinite, that can never meet: the conjunction of the mind, and opposition of the stars.

The Garden
Green solitude preferred to every human prize: the gods chase mortal beauty only to end up holding a tree, fruit falls into the poet's hands unasked, and the mind withdraws to annihilate all that's made to a green thought in a green shade.
